Product Description

“As for me we are unequal, we were not created equal and no wishful thinking will make us equal!” For many years I wrote articles, or sent memoranda to various task forces or commissions, in which I expressed views that were, in many cases, contrary to the popular views. I also wrote to the editors of local newspapers. Some such articles were published. I intend to divide this book into Six Parts: - The First Part will involve my work in the Emergency Villages and what I did in defence of my age-mates who were caught by the effect of the Affiliation Law of the day when they made girls pregnant. This part will be in justification of the statement that in hindsight I can say I was born a lawyer. Part Two involves my research work in the African Courts in Kenya as a law student at Dar University. Part Three covers the period after the University when I worked as a Deputy Registrar of the High Court in Nairobi. The Fourth Part covers my work as the Provincial State Counsel at Kisumu for Nyanza and Western Provinces and later at Nakuru for the Rift Valley Province in the same capacity. The Fifth Part covers the period after I left government services to date. The Sixth Part involves (some of) the articles that I have written over the years. Some Editors of newspapers told me, after I had asked why my matters were not published in their newspapers, that my articles were too long to be published without some editing and no editors had the time to do so. Asked why the articles were not returned to me instead of throwing them into wastepaper baskets they would tell me they had no budget for such a duty.
