The Foundation's origin

Danson and Serah Kiundi

Danson Kiundi Yambu was born in Ukia, in the then Masaku Colonial District, as the first World War was being fought. He and his wife Serah Mbuve became lifelong advocates for education, faith, and modern medicine in rural Kenya.

Together they established a shop at Mwanyani market, co-founded Kisaani AIC church, and helped build Nduundune Primary School. The school that features in our nutrition programme today is the same one they helped bring into existence.
